To qualify for a bachelor’s degree at UC Santa Cruz, all students must meet conditions that include completion of minimum credits, a residency requirement, a GPA minimum, university and general education requirements and completion of a major program of study. Official degree requirements are published in the General Catalog.
Additional information is provided through the links at left. The Planning section of this website includes tools you can use to plan for completion of your degree requirements.
If you have questions about completing graduation requirements, check with:
• Your major or minor adviser about all major or minor requirements, and
• Your college adviser about all requirements outside your major (college, university, general education, credit, grading, and residency requirements).
It's important to stay in touch with both your major and your college adviser, since each has expertise in different sets of requirements, all of which are important to your graduating.
