There are a number of resources available at UCSC to support you in succeeding academically. Be proactive in seeking the help you need, and remember that there are many people who want to see you be successful. Review the following resources to determine which would be helpful to you. List the ones you plan to utilize in the upcoming term in section 6 of your worksheet.
Advisers at your College:
Advisers at your College can help you identify issues that have affected your performance, and help you devise a plan to succeed. Be sure to stay in touch with your College Adviser when you are on academic probation or any time you are concerned that you’re not doing well in your classes.

Advisers in your Department:
Advisers in your major department can help you devise a balanced course plan that will best support your doing well. They can also help you identify opportunities within your major and make recommendations for professors whose academic interests are similar to yours, both of which can increase your level of motivation to do well.

The ACE program focuses on supporting students in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) majors.
Career Center: http://www2.ucsc.edu/careers/
Career Advisers can help you clarify your post-UCSC career goals through online assessments and in person. Clarifying your goals can be very important to your academic success.
Counseling and Psychological Services: http://www2.ucsc.edu/counsel/
Counseling is available to UCSC students through the Cowell Student Health Center. If emotional or psychological issues are affecting your performance, be sure to take advantage of this valuable resource.
CSAS (Coalition for Student Academic Success): http://www2.ucsc.edu/csas/
CSAS offers workshops each quarter on topics such as time management, test anxiety, writing a research paper, and more.
Disability Resource Center: http://drc.ucsc.edu/
The DRC offers support, accommodations and resources for students with both short and long-term disabilities.
EOP (Educational Opportunity Program): http://www2.ucsc.edu/eop/
EOP offers support and advising for first generation college, low income, and educationally disadvantaged student populations.
Faculty members and teaching assistants:
Your teachers and teaching assistants are often the best resources for helping you succeed in your classes. Don’t be afraid to approach them if you are having difficulties.

Learning Support Services offers academic support such as tutoring and MSI (Modified Supplemental Instruction) to help you do well in your classes.
STARS (Services for Transfer and Re-Entry Students): http://stars.ucsc.edu//
STARS offers support and resources specifically designed for students who transferred to UCSC from a different school, as well as undergraduates who are 25 years of age or older or who are parents.
