Transfer students who intend to pursue this major should do the following prior to the beginning of their first term…

• Beginning in late June and early July (for Fall transfer students) EEB Advising will review your reported transfer course work and determine how it applies to your EEB major's requirements. EEB Advising will contact you via email. The email will include information on how your transfer coursework fulfills major requirements. We will suggest courses for your Fall enrollment, and invite you to make an appointment to talk with your EEB undergraduate advisor.

...and should take these courses their first term:

• BIOE 107: Ecology or BIOL 105: Genetics
• BIOE upper division elective

This plan is based on completion of all recommended transfer preparation course work.

The suggested course load is two major classes per quarter; if students do not have additional general education requirements to satisfy, they can utilize the third course each quarter to pursue other interests, undergraduate research, internships, etc. Enrollment in more than two upper division major courses per quarter is strongly discouraged.
