Your advising team includes College Advisors for university requirements and exploring academic interests, and Major/Minor Advisors for program-specific guidance. Use the links below to connect with the right advisor for your questions and goals.
College Advising
Each College has a team of generalist advisors (known as College Advisors and Assistant Directors) for university requirements and policies (general education, academic progress, time‑to‑degree) and for exploring academic interests. Students are affiliated with their college advisors from admission through graduation.
Major/Minor Advising
Major (or Program or Departmental) Advisors are specialists in your academic program who help with major qualification and graduation requirements, academic planning within your field, and introductions to faculty mentors, and connections to opportunities like research, internships, and fieldwork.
Quick Tips
- Not sure about an intended or proposed major? Start with your College advisors; they’ll help you explore majors and connect you to departments.
- Double major/minor? You should meet with each major/minor advisor.
- Can’t find your program? Look for the department that houses your major on the major/minor list.
- Reach out early. Calendars fill quickly before enrollment windows open.
