Academic Planning
Academic planning is about more than just choosing and scheduling courses. It's about learning who you are right now, who you want to be in four (and in forty!) years, and how you can plan your time at UCSC to get the education that will help you meet your goals.
Deciding on and qualifying for a major is an important piece of academic planning. Identifying the myriad of academic enrichment opportunities at UCSC that will individualize your education is another. And then laying out and following a quarter-by-quarter course plan for the remainder of your four years (or two years, for junior transfer students) will help you turn your dreams into a concrete plan.
