Supporting training and development opportunities for advisors:

  • Advising Forum for campus advising community
  • Coordinating training for academic advisors
  • Development of official business processes for advisors
  • Advising Certificate Program: Advising the Students of Today
  • All-Hands Informational Meeting; Pre-Orientation Info-Sessions
  • Quarterly overview of advising mission, goals, objectives for new advisors

Developing and improving policies, procedures, and tools

  • Online tools for advisors
  • Development of Infoview and other reports to support efficiency: enrollment check database, finding student populations, etc.
  • Support for mass messaging: transfer IGETC messaging, senior no-surprises grad check, LOA returnee notifications
  • Support/manage hiring process for colleges advising

Collaborating with Campus Partners to Support Student Success

  • Convening Undergraduate Academic Advising Council
  • EAB and Degree Progress Report Leadership Team
  • Convene and facilitate meetings for all Academic Advisors
  • Collaborations with several campus offices and groups
